6 month check-up
Makayla had a well-baby checkup on Sept. 5. She now weighs 16 pounds, 11.5 ounces. She is 25 1/4 inches long. We weren't expecting to have her iron level checked, but the doctor wanted to see if we could stop giving her vitamin/iron supplements. It was a traumatic experience (a very drawn out finger prick and an irate mom) but she longer needs them. Yay!

I've always said I think all the shots and bloodwork is harder on the moms than the babies! It's no fun. She is only a pound lighter than my Alea at 15 months! Alea sure has a lot of catching up to do! Makayla is so pretty! I love her smile!!
I can't believe that you and Maylee weigh and measure about the same!

She's growin up! So sorry you had such a crummy experience. Those sticks are never fun, us nurses hate doing it too! Sorry for the trauma. Hope you are well.
