Happy Easter!

Makayla enjoyed coloring eggs the day before Easter. She gets a little impatient waiting though. Pink seemed to take the longest, and that is her favorite color!

Makayla's 3rd Birthday

On February 21, Makayla turned 3! Time sure has flown by. She wanted a Jessie theme from Toy Story 2. We dressed her in her Jessie Halloween costume. She has a hat but didn't want to wear it long enough to get her picture taken. Grandma A. really outdid herself with the cake! Mommy was even adventurous and made cowgirl hat shaped sugar cookies.

Cousins Madison, Noah, Elizabeth, and Anna were there to help celebrate.

Makayla's last present was a bike from Mommy and Daddy. She has been wanting a bike for a long time. Everytime we go to Walmart or Toys R Us she tries them out. She will have a blast this summer!

Sledding!

Scott and Makayla took advantage of the snow to try out sledding in our new back yard. We have a small hill that is perfect for sledding with a toddler. "That was fun!" she said. Let's do it again!" When I asked her if she was cold, at first she said yes. Then when I suggested she come in, she replied, "I'm warm!" They had a blast. And I watched from an open window!

Scott and Makayla took a quick trip to the zoo on Friday while Scott got his car worked on. She looks like she had a good time with her daddy while mommy was at work.

Last year she was terrified to sit on the animals. Now now!

New Pictures!

We FINALLY have Makayla's 2 year photos. She cried when we took her in February. The photographer and I worked so hard to get a few smiles out of her, but I am pleased with the results. Next time I am taking a ball to play catch. That was the only way she cheered up!

Pokagon State Park

Jen's family enjoyed our annual camping trip this year at Pokagon. This is our third year and has become a tradition. We finally were able to get all the grandkids together for a picture without a major meltdown.

It was a great party. We just can't believe our daughter is TWO years old! Where has the time gone? We have enjoyed every stage in her life so far. We can't wait to see what will come next!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Happy Birthday Makayla! We celebrated Makayla's 2nd birthday last night with family. The theme of the party was Finding Nemo. Makayla loves Nemo and especially Dory. We had a shirt made especially for her. Her shirt says, "I almost forgot Makayla is 2 years old." Those of you who know the movie, Dory is a fish with short term memory loss.


Grandmom Avery outdid herself again with the cake! She loves to create beautiful cakes. She used pictures as her inspiration. Isn't she talented?

Makayla did not want help eating her ice cream. She wasn't too interested in the cake, just ice cream.

Makayla received a Tinker Bell luggage set, complete with her name embroidered on it. She is all set for a trip!

She also received several books and a potty training video. Hopefully she will show interest soon!

The chair she is sitting in was our gift to her. Now she has her own chair in the living room. She seems to like it.

Other gifts include: play tunnel, playdough, play kitchen pots and pans, velcro ball toss, minnie mouse robe, Mr. Potato Head, bath towel, Madagascar DVD set, summer outfit, Disney snack cup, and Finding Nemo wall clings. Thanks everyone!

Chuck E. Cheese

We took advantage of time off and headed to Chuck E. Cheese last Monday. The kids received gift cards so the Averys and the Crisps met up for lunch in Muncie.
