Camping with Jen's Family

We had a wonderful weekend camping at Ouabache State Park. My brother and his family joined us with their camper. My parents and my sister's family stayed at a nearby hotel. It was a trip down memory lane since this is the same place we used to camp when we were little. We camped often with my friend Angie's family. Memories of riding bikes and swimming came flooding back. Angie, they updated the playground!

Fourth of July

We spent the Fourth of July weekend camping at Mississinewa Lake with Scott's family. We had six campsites filled with family and friends.

Branson, Missouri

We went on vacation to Branson June 21-28. We went with my [Jen's] parents. We had a great time! Makayla enjoyed the pool, we watched some shows, and went to an amusement park. We went to: Noah the Musical, Dixie Stampede, and Silver Dollar City.

A Visit with a Friend

A few weeks ago I was able to visit with my friend Jamie. We taught second grade together three years ago. She and her husband now live in Warsaw. Scott had some work to do there, so Makayla and I tagged along. We had a good time catching up with each other.

Happy Father's Day!

Scott wanted to spend Father's Day this year at a Reds game. We went with Scott's parents. It was a hot day but after about an hour we were in the shade.

Makayla seemed to enjoy looking at everything. She kept pointing and jabbering.












We took a break from the game to let Makayla run around in the air-conditioning. Mommy liked it too!

We had a great time and Makayla did well for her first game. I am sure there will be more. Hopefully the Reds do better next time. Just scoring a run would be nice!

Makayla has been enjoying being at home with Mommy during the day. Of course boredom does take its toll on Makayla. She is used to being with her 2 1/2 year old cousin all day. To give Makayla something new to explore, we splurged and got a pup tent from Target. Scott has been wanting to get one for a while. I think he was just as excited as she was!

Camping Trip

Makayla LOVES Camping. She can't get enough of the outdoors. This doesn't surprise us since she always points to the door at home. She cries when we come inside. Anyway, we tried out our new camper this past weekend. We are definitely going to enjoy it. Makalya has her own little room complete with a TV and DVD player. Only the best for our little girl! It helps when you have a husband who can rig up any kind of electronic contraption. He usually finds a way to make things work. I didn't get very many pictures, but what I did I will share with you. Most of the time we were chasing after Makayla. She doesn't understand boundaries yet. She sees something and she goes for it.

Memorial Weekend

We spent the weekend at the Fort Wayne Zoo. Scott's family joined us. This was Makayla's second trip to the zoo. We took her last Labor Day. She enjoyed it even more this time since her cousins were with us. The weather was great. We had a fun day.

A Nice Day for a Ride

Today we took Makayla for a ride in her wagon she got for Christmas. We walked down to the pond we have in our addition.

Mommy has the hard job. I'll just sit here and enjoy the ride.
